Free Soft Lips

Here's a link for a printable $2.00 off coupon for Soft Lips lip balms....which happen to be on sale at Shopper's Drug Mart for $1.99.  :)  Some of the stores are not accepting printed coupons, so make sure you check your local store.

I have been finding lately that I'm not always getting flyers from all of the stores that I like to shop at, so I was really happy to find the site... www.flyerland.ca ... you enter your postal code and you can see on-line all of the flyers for all of the stores in your area.  Makes creating a shopping list sooooo much easier! You can price check and make a list for each store that you are planning on going to.  Yea!

Day 2

So, I was out and about today and stopped at London Drugs just to see what I could see and I noticed that they had Pantene products on sale.  Not only were they on sale, but they have a deal on where if you buy 3 products you get a mousse or a gel free.  There are Pantene coupons available at the website www.brandsaver.ca (which is the data base for all Proctor and Gamble coupons) for anywhere from $0.75 to $2.00 off (depending what you buy).  SALE + DEAL + COUPONS = Happy Happy Joy Joy!!

I also noticed that they have all of their Christmas toys on sale now, as well as a lot of their London Drugs Brand vitamins are packaged 2 for 1 (yea!).

If you are a mom and you are looking for a deal on Flinstone Vitamins you can also check out their website at www.flinstonesvitamins.com as they have a $1.00 off printable coupon.  Combine this with the $2.00 off printable coupon available at www.smartcanucks.ca and you can get $3.00 off in total.

www.smartcanucks.ca has a lot of printable coupons available.  A couple that caught my eye were bottles of "Milk to Go" that were Buy One, Get One Free as well as a coupon for $2.00 off any"Softlips" products (which are cheap to begin with).

As I'm just starting out with my couponing adventure one of the things I have done is to go through all my kitchen and bathroom cupboards and taken note of the brand names that I usually buy, then I have gone onto their websites and checked them for coupons.  By registering, and sometimes answering a few questions about their products, I have already received coupons in the mail from Campbells and from Clover Leaf.

For people out there who are looking for deals on products other than groceries, a website my hubby loves is www.redflagdeals.com.  We have purchased many a computer / electronic gadget from that site.

So tomorrow I'm going to be heading out with my coupon book in hand and doing a big weekly grocery purchase.  This will be my first real couponing venture (aside from my Jergens lotion buy) so wish me luck.  While I will definitely NOT be getting my groceries for free, I'll let you know what I DID manage to save.

My First Ever Bloggedy

So, since I have found myself currently unemployed, I thought I'd give "couponing" a try to see if I can save our family some money.  I was motivated to do this after watching a show where people in the US were "Extreme Couponers" and got hundreds of dollars worth of products for next to nothing.  This seems to be a more difficult task in Canada as I have yet to find a grocery store that has double coupon days or allows coupon stacking, but I'm determined to do my best to keep as much of our money in our pockets as possible while shopping. My saving grace has been London Drugs which DOES allow coupon stacking.  Last week I picked up some large bottles of Jergens lotion and only had to pay the tax on them. Yea London Drugs!

My plan for this blog is to research and post ads and links for coupons / deals available to us in the Lower Mainland to help others who want (and need) savings tools, yet don't have as much time on their hands to find them as I find myself with.

To start out I'm going to post the links for the printable coupons for the Jergen's Lotion.

There are also coupons on the shelf at the store for $3 off when you buy 2 bottles.  Combining all these coupons (stacking) will more than cover the price for each bottle (approx $6.99 each) and you will only have to pay the tax on them.  London Drugs does also price match (to a point) and The Real Canadian Super Store has these bottles of lotion on sale for $4.99 so you can also bring in a flyer and price match if you want.

I'm also going to post below some addresses to some good coupon sites. You will be required to register your info with the sites, but once you have done this you can pick the coupons you want and they will mail them to you.

Well, that's it for my first entry.  Hopefully I'll have more great deals to tell you about soon.  In the mean time, if you have any helpful advice, I'd love to hear it.
